I’ve been hearing people say your web host can affect SEO. At first I thought it’s just content that matters, but turns out things like site speed, uptime, and server location fit affect ranking too. I’m trying to move my blog, so, what kind of host should I go for if I want better SEO performance?

As I mentioned in another thread, "Where are the hosts that are SEO unfriendly?". I mean, they all seem to promise better tech stuff.

What has a website hosted got to do with SEO? Unless your website is terribly slow caused by host, your web host will not affect SEO.

Server location might matter for geo-targeting.

The availability of different server locations allows companies to maintain data sovereignty by choosing where sensitive customer information is stored and processed.
