Site Backups

Are there backups at all? Do you do them? Does the hosting company do them? Do you feel backups are worth it? Do you feel backups by the hosting company are worth it?

My web host provides automatic backup, I also manually create back ups. back up is necessary as you never know when your website will be hacked and everything will be gone.

Backups are extremely necessary. It doesn’t matter whether it is autosaving or not but having more a copy saved has saved me many times.

It's a skill I need to learn because my hosting lacks automatic backups.

My software always automatically backs up to an S3 bucket at night. Sometimes I also do it manually and save it to my local computer.

I'm confident, based on probability, that my sites won't be hacked so I don't see a need for extra money for automatic backups, but maybe some cheap deals exist for such hosting.
