Considering what's on the list, what's your thoughts?

If you want to use a software that is easy to handle and a software that allows you to do most of the things through ACP, you can try SMF. It is really good.

Uploading stuff is similar to WordPress.

How mobile friendly is it?

Personally, I have used Phpbb and SMF. For me, Phpbb is the best for its similarity to premium softwares but if you don't have basic knowledge in coding, please go for SMF. It's quite easy to use.

I don't see how coding is relevant to any forum or blog installation.

However, it can be said that SMF, like WordPress, can have installation, updates, themes and plugins can be done in one or a few clicks via admin panels

Don't get me wrong! I'm not talking about installation. I'm talking about the customisation like adding images and so many other things.
