Who has used a dedicated server?

I had a dedicated server a few years ago. i liked it. it was quite expensive though. I was paying $150 a month. This was at a time when servers weren't cheap, but now, servers are relatively cheap. I can probably find that same dedicated server that I had back then for about $75 a month.

I haven't used Dedicated Server, I don't think I would ever use it because of the expenses. Maybe I would if my websites were earning hundreds of dollars every month.

I'm wondering what a minimum traffic count is to justify it.

In the US these days $75 is just 3 trips to the grocery store.

No experience with Dedicated Servers. I wish I could build a very big site that would require DS.

I've never used a dedicated server, I feel like these servers are more for very large websites or even for gaming servers. They're super expensive, I can't afford even the cheapest dedicated server. I'm sure companies also use dedicated servers for security reasons, especially banks and anything handling money.

I've not bought a dedicated server, but because prices are so low for hosting, it might be a consideration, assuming the AI datacenter stuff won't drive prices up.

It really is though. However, for a family of 5-6, $75 may not be three trips to the grocery store, lol. It'll be just one trip.
