Do you trust “unlimited” hosting offers?

Many shared hosting providers advertise unlimited bandwidth and storage, which sounds great but also unrealistic.
What’s your opinion on these offers — are they fair usage or just marketing tactics?

I've used unlimited shared hosting in the past and I never had much of an issue. The only host I had a problem with was Namecheap and it was because a bunch of spam bots tried joining a phpBB forum I had installed on the host. That caused Namecheap to suspend my website until I got the bots under control.
