Who has used a VPS?

How was your experience? How would you compare it to shared, dedicated etc.?

I used to have a VPS. I haven't had one in years though. It's more powerful than a shared server. It's the next step after a shared. Generally, you'll be able to power your sites for a while with a VPS.

What do you mean "power your sites for awhile"?

I think these are free hosting providers, and they may require us to place a link in the footer or somewhere on the website. Alternatively, they may offer discounts. However, we should not rely on this type of hosting, and we need to take regular backups to avoid losing our data.
